I am a Jungian clinical psychologist. Some time ago, I defended my Master dissertation at the Science of Religions Department of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Brazil) and it received the maximum grade from the examination board, which suggested me to make my work known. Following its indication I have already presented the results of my research in the following events and scientific publications:
- SIMPÓSIO ANUAL DO CEHILA/1998 - Comissão de Estudos de História da Igreja na America Latina e Caribe (CEHILA ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM/1998 - Church History Studies Commission in Latin America and Caribs);
- III SEMANA DE PSICOLOGIA DO CES/1999 (3rd WEEK OF PSYCHOLOGY STUDIES OF CES - Higher Education Center - Juiz de Fora);
- CONGRESSO DA SOTER/1999 (SOTER CONFERENCE - Theology and Science of Religions Society);

- II CONGRESSO LATINO AMERICANO DE PSICOLOGIA JUNGUIANA - junho/2000 (2nd LATIN AMERICAN CONFERENCE OF JUNGIAN PSYCHOLOGY - June/2000).
Furthermore, I was pleased to be invited by EDITORA PAULINAS (a publishing house) to have my work published and it is this book: A EXPRESSÃO POPULAR DO SAGRADO: UMA ANÁLISE PSICO-ANTROPOLÓGICA DA IGREJA UNIVERSAL DO REINO DE DEUS (The Popular Expression of the Sacred: A Psycho-Anthropological Analysis of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God) and myself that I want to introduce to you now. The information below can be found in the book's inside cover.
"Some researchers, in order to achieve a better understanding of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD in Portuguese), have been studying this neopentecostal phenomenon that has no parallel in the history of ´Brazilian religious field`.
This book, which deals with IURD in a serious way and with no previous judgments, is of importance because of its interdisciplinary approach. It also proposes a dialogical and creative use of the Social Sciences tools, as well as elements of Carl Gustav Jung's Analytical Psychology.
The author, through a refined bibliographical research, articulated with field works, and always having as a major reference the internal vision of the church in question and its members, tries to understand the ´IURDian world` and its phenomena of ´conversions, exorcisms and cures`. Besides, he points out psychological aspects which contribute to a better understanding of the ´cures` and the new dimension of its members' life phenomena.
Undoubtedly, this is a work addressed not only to the researchers of the Anthropology and Psychology of Religion fields, but also to those who want a better understanding of the religious phenomenon called the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God."
"The author:

He graduated in Psychology at Centro de Ensino Superior de Juiz de Fora (Higher Education Center of Juiz de Fora) in 1990. I think that the above mentioned information can give you an idea of what the book is about.
I would like to ask for your help in order to make this book known. I hope you can take my request into consideration not only because of its unprecedent approach, but also because of the difficulties we face in publishing academic works and doing scientific researches in Brazil.
Cordially,
Paulo Bonfatti
