Released in June 2000, the book Tenham Piedade dos Homens! Masculinidades em Mudança (Have Pity on Men! Masculinities in Change), by Marko Monteiro, published by FEME in Juiz de Fora, Brazil (Portuguese, 100 pgs.). The book is the result of a two year research financed by The State of São Paulo's Research Support Fund (FAPESP), and deals with the magazine Ele Ela. The book analyses, through references such as Discourse Analysis, feminist Gender Studies and History, how representations on men changed in the late sixties with the advent of Feminism and Gay Power.
